Farewell and Good Luck!
Finally,
6 years of Primary Education has come to an end.
Are you shedding tears of joy,
or are you still weeping hard to let go?
6E '2008 comes and goes in a flash.
Some say good times fly,
but what say you?
Time may not wait,
but memories never parts.
Let us not forget the loads of homework,
or the never ending trial papers.
Let us not forget the mess we had at the science labs,
or the sweat from the NAPFA runs.
Let us not forget the fun we had during PE lessons,
soccer, captain's ball, rounders, badminton and floorball.
soccer, captain's ball, rounders, badminton and floorball.

Let us not forget the sweltering heat of our IPP exercise,
as well as the mysterious Polar Bear game.
Let us also not forget the one and only dance which only 6E '2008 knows,
the groove and beat of Speedy Gonzales.

Last but not least,
let us not forget the ones
who had accompanied us through this last year in XHPS,
the friends, teachers, parents & guardians.
Farewell 6 Excellence '08,
we will always remember you....

Announcement: PE this week
Due to the Social Graces Workshop on Wednesday, there will be no PE lesson.
However on Friday, the first half of the day will be the Inter-class Games. We will have our Indoor PE after recess (10.30am - 11.50am). It'll be badminton and floorball. Thus those pupils who want to play badminton, please bring along your shuttlecocks and rackets on Friday. Please do not have too heavy a recess too, especially if you're playing floorball.

... Kelsey doing a demo for us to see...
Kelsey said,"This is chicken feet!"
Kelsey said to Rongqi, "Stop banging your head!"
Catherine said,"Stop pulling my shirt, I want to try again."
Zack said, "I think I'm stuck to the wall."
Karamjit said,"Okay, I've frozen. Please don't shoot!"
Tengfei said,"I think this wall is too short for me."
Daniel said to Jia Yi,"Do you feel my eye-power assisting you?"
Azzad said to Kamarul,"I seriously think that Jeremy had stepped onto your foot on purpose."Okay, the above captions are just for laughs. No offense intended. Hope these pictures will bring back wonderful memories of your P6 year. All of you had done our class proud by demonstrating our class value - Excellence: doing our very bests!

Colours of the Wind
The song that is playing in the background (I hope it is playing) is "Colours of the Wind" by Vanessa Williams. It is the theme song from the Disney movie "Pocahontas". I just want to share the lyrics here as there is the message on appreciating and conserving Earth. :)
You think you own whatever land you land on
The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim
But I know every rock and tree and creature
Has a life, has a spirit, has a name
You think the only people who are people
Are the people who look and think like you
But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger
You'll learn things you never knew you never knew
Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned?
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains?
Can you paint with all the colours of the wind?
Can you paint with all the colours of the wind?
Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest
Come taste the sunsweet berries of the Earth
Come roll in all the riches all around you
And for once, never wonder what they're worth
The rainstorm and the river are my brothers
The heron and the otter are my friends
And we are all connected to each other
In a circle, in a hoop that never ends
How high will the sycamore grow?
If you cut it down, then you'll never know
And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
For whether we are white or copper skinned
We need to sing with all the voices of the mountains
We need to paint with all the colours of the wind
You can own the Earth and still
All you'll own is Earth until
You can paint with all the colours of the wind

- Have eye contact with the examiners.
- Avoid moving your hands too much (e.g. brushing your hair, supporting your head, scratching your body etc.).
- Do not rock your chair!
- Remember to thank the examiners.
